HAIR & MAKEUP
salon:
i have paid a deposit to book Sonia Roselli. She is lots of fun and does awesome work. She will come to my house the morning of the wedding and do all of us. She gave me a group rate quote, which works out to about $63 per person, and I think it'd be nice if we could also chip in a few dollars for tip.

Sonia does makeup, but not hair. I am still considering using Catherine Johns Salon for that because of affordability. Will prolly go have a trial run sometime soon so I can scout out someone else if they don't work out. Will you be wanting to have your hair done too? Let me know!
hotels and b&b's:
ACCOMMODATIONS
there are several options for hotels and bed & breakfasts around here. i am working on securing some group rate discounts right now. do you want a place in the city? in the burbs near a) me, b) the church, or c) the reception site? let me know what sort of thing you are looking for and i can suggest options for you. you can also check the accommodations page for info/details i uncover in my search for guest lodging....of course, if you feel like doing a girls' slumber party night on friday after rehearsal dinner, see the little blurb under 'giao's' below:
if you want to stay chez giao friday night after rehearsal dinner, you are more than welcome. just let me know! i have a very small 3 bedroom in prospect heights, and it may be filling with family, so let me know what your plans are. my place is about 15-20 minutes to the glenview community church, a half hour from the highland park community house, and 45 minutes to an hour to the city (depending on trafic). the photographer is due to turn up at my house on saturday the 12th at noon. we'll be getting ready there (and perhaps at the salon), and she'll be catching pictures of us prepping, and then we'll moving onward to the church together. if you're going to be staying with your significant others, i can scout local hotels nearby. let me know what the criteria are for the lodging you'd like if it's not going to be my place.
