Pretty, shi-shi northern suburban area that runs along the western edge of Lake Michigan just north of the city. Lots of lovely beaches, bike trails, parks, and beautiful homes to have a gander at.

Evanston, home of Northwestern University, offers up a lot of great indie shops, coffee bars, and history.

Highland Park is where we'll be having our reception. I like it for its wonderful Ravinia Festival series in summer. Nearby in Glencoe is the great Chicago Botanic Garden.

Deerfield, the wonderful place where Monkey met Gnome (on a project at Volkswagen Credit, Inc.). Very suburban, not terribly interesting, but hey, it has history for us! There are some posh and hipster-wannabe resto's downtown Deerfield. Very crowded on weekends with the beemer-driving set....
There is a nice little downtown area with a few fun restaurants, pubs,  and shops as well as attractions in this northwest suburb. Metropolis Performing ArtsTheater and Arlington International Racecourse are among the things to do here.
The reception dinner will take place in this lovely suburb 26 miles north of the city on October 12, 2002. Very Martha kind of place, with beautiful homes, great shops and eateries in its downtown area, and the ever-famous Ravinia Festival in the summer months.

The wedding ceremony will take place in this lovely suburb about 20 miles north of the city on October 12, 2002. Very leafy and residential with a cute downtown area.

This is the place Monkey and Gnome currently call home. It's a blando burb about 25 miles northwest of the city. There isn't much to do here, as the population is about 16,000 and there isn't really a central main street worth having a good look at. We do have a huge garden for our pooch Casey to roam, and a creek that runs to the south of our property, for feeding fishies and stuff...Fortunately, we're on the borders of several bigger burbs that offer a bit more to do...
